My first wall hanger came to me this year on opening day of the Michigan gun season. It always looks impressive when you see someone holding up a nice set of antlers, and it is usually assumed that the guy in the picture did most of the work. However in this hunt there should be a few others standing by my side. My own Father, my Father in-law, brother in-law, and a gracious land owner all played a part in this story.

I hate to be the first one to comment on my own post. But just wanted to hide a little bit of unimportant info here in the comments section. I MISSED nice little 8 or 7 point buck with my bow on Sunday 2 nights before I shot this big buy. And when I say missed I mean MISSED, like you would have laughed if you saw my shot. I'm pretty sure I hit some twigs or something--- but I'm not going to try and make excuses. Actually we should really be honest with all the blog followers and write a post of all our blunders--there have been quite a few this year.
I told you this would be your year for a wall hanger. Nice work, you earned this one.
Huge! When's the mount going to be ready?
Aren't you my taxidermist?
